Description
The all-new C190SL229X is inspired by early 1970’s Elkhart designs. While the bore and body of this model are a standard .462" large bore, it features the Bach “X” bore main tuning slide, which tapers from .462" to .459". This provides a brilliant yet broad sound with a lightning-quick response.
Features
The all-new C190SL229X is one of five models in the new Bach C190 Series, built to meet the technical demands of today’s players while delivering Bach’s signature rich, resonant tone. Drawing inspiration from early Elkhart model C trumpets (1965–1980), which set the standard for orchestral players, the C190SL229X offers similar playing characteristics but with improved intonation and a fuller sound profile.
The C190SL229X features the Bach “X” bore main tuning slide, with a .462" top leg and crook and a .459" lower leg, providing a brilliant, broad sound with lightning-fast response. The C190SL229X delivers a big orchestral sound with quicker response and greater ring, the result of a wide wrap and wide Z-brace construction paired with a lighter Mt. Vernon-weight #229 bell. The “X” style main tuning slide, with a .459" medium-large bore lower leg, provides more focus and efficiency in the response.
