Description

The all-new C190SL229C is the result of a collaboration with Esteban Batallán, Principal Trumpet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. This project targeted the most famous set of Mt. Vernon C trumpet models that Vincent Bach sold to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1955, specifically the instrument used by the late Adolph “Bud” Herseth, Principal Trumpet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1948 to 2001. All features of this model combine to provide incredible response, projection, versatility, and the beautiful sound required to perform in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Features

The all-new C190SL229C is one of five models in the new Bach C190 Series, built to meet the technical demands of today’s players while delivering Bach’s signature rich, resonant tone. Developed with Bach Artist Esteban Batallán, Principal Trumpet, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the C190SL22C is designed as an exact acoustic replica of the 1955 Bach C trumpets Vincent Bach made specifically for the acoustics of Symphony Hall and the trumpet section of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, most notably played by Adolph “Bud” Herseth, Principal Trumpet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1948 to 2001.
Features a narrow wrap, narrow Z brace construction, and a lighter Mt. Vernon-weight #229 bell, this New Era Chicago C trumpet offers quick response, effortless playability, and a vibrant sound designed to project from the stage to the back of the hall. The short 1st and 3rd tuning slides offer additional tuning options.
