Artist's Biography
Michael Mann is Instructor of Trumpet at the Wanda L. Bass School of music at Oklahoma City University. He performs regularly as a member of the Oklahoma City University Faculty Brass quintet and is a freelance musician in the Oklahoma City Metropolitan area. He is a member of the International Trumpet Guild, an Artist-Clinician for the Vincent Bach Company, and has served as Artist-Faculty with the National Trumpet Competition. Michael previously taught trumpet and coordinated the brass chamber music program at The School of Music at Indiana State University. Michael has also served as artist in residence at the Shenyang Conservatory in Shenyang, China. As a strong proponent of brass chamber music, Michael has performed as a member of various brass quintets across the United States and in China, with upcoming performances at the Alfredo Saint-Malo Music Festival in Panama City, Panama. Michael has earned degrees from The University of Oklahoma (BMA and MM) and from The University of Minnesota (DMA).
